Automation
The Automation section in the Dashboard manages server rules that run when their conditions are met. Discord's /automation ... commands provide setup and status actions for the same feature family.
Fieldbot 3.27.3 includes these main tools:
- AutoMod to create, inspect, resync, and disable managed Discord AutoMod rules.
- Automatic roles to assign roles to new members when configured conditions are met.
- Media gallery settings for a selected media channel and its role access.
- Member goals with target, milestone, and notification settings.
- Name checks with a preview before a member name is changed.
- Community rules for server-tag roles, status roles, counting games, join mentions, and self-role panels.
Temporary voice rooms and custom-command status are covered separately under Community Tools.
Before changing a rule
Check that every role or channel used by the rule still exists. A rule that assigns or changes roles needs the Fieldbot role above the target role. Channel-specific permissions can also block actions that need to post or modify something in that channel.
For command-based configuration, the Automation commands page shows required fields, limits, and user permissions from the current command contract.
